Remembering My Friend George
On Friday October 7th 2016 I lost my closest friend George Subasic.
I knew George for 46 years, from the
time I first met him at the age of
11, watching me practice
football (Reynolds 1968 Team) up to the present
when he was helping me with the
Reynolds Wrestling web site.
I have a lot of memories with George
and will share a few of them...

Remembering
Frank Lane |
With the
passing of
Frank Lane I
lost a good
friend and
more so a
brother in
Jesus
Christ. I
first met
Frank in
second grade
when his
family moved
to Transfer
in 1957 and
his dad and
mom
established
the SMEA
Bible School
in Transfer.
|
I enjoyed
watching
Frank, Lon
Dawes and my
classmates
Bear
Loveless and
Larry
Unangst
wrestle
throughout
their high
school
careers.
Frank was
Reynolds’
first 3 Time
consecutive
Section
Champion
(66-67-68).
After his
time in the
US Navy we
reconnected
through
local youth
rallies in
the area. |
In the mid
1970’s Frank
and his
older
brother
Coleman sang
in a
Christian
Gospel
Quartet
called The
Inheritors.
Several
years ago I
converted
one of his
albums to a
CD & MP3
files. (To

After the
death of his
dad he
became the
Bible
School’s
administrator
and became
pastor at
the
Community
Church of
God in
Transfer.
Most
recently he
was the
pastor at
the Transfer
Baptist
Church. |
We worked
together on
several
projects
including
creating a
website for
the Bible
School & the
church and
producing a
DVD called
the Journey,
which tells
of the life
and ministry
of the Lane
family and
the Bible
College. (To

He also had
me film his
mother's
95th
Birthday
Party. |
Frank also
helped with
my business
ACW
Productions
by filming
several
weddings and
events with
me.
Wrestling
season was
always a fun
time as he
was someone
I would talk
about the
current
season. He
also was a
great help
to me
collecting
the
wrestling
scores/stats
for the
Reynolds
Wrestling
website. One
year he went
to every
match
getting the
scores. His
wife April
and her
sister Helen
Swartz were
also helpful
collecting
the scores
over the
years. |
Frank was a
lot of
things to a
lot of
people and
he will be
missed by
many… me,
being one of
them. Art
